I decided to t...I have seen this idea on Pinterest. I decided to try it. I had two stalk bunches at the time in my fridge from an organic label. I stuck it in a shallow dish for about 4 days because I just didn't get around to planting it. It started to grow some roots and sprout some leaves, so I guess I didn't do any damage.
